A dental bridge restores your smile, improves function, and replaces missing teeth for lasting confidence and oral health.

Tailored Bridge Solutions for Every Smile

A dental bridge at Saphire Dent Clinic restores your smile, improves function, and protects surrounding teeth.

When determining the right type of dental bridge for you, a dentist will consider several important factors. We will help you choose the best option by evaluating:

    • Your oral health: The condition of your gums and the teeth surrounding the gap.
    • The gap size: How many teeth are missing and the size of the space.
    • Your existing teeth: Whether you have strong, healthy teeth on both sides of the gap to support a bridge.
    • Your age and preferences: We will discuss what you want to achieve with your new smile and choose a solution that fits your specific situation.

Finding the Right Dental Bridge for You

At Saphire Dent, we offer different types of bridges to achieve the best results for your smile:

Traditional Bridge

  • This is the most common type of bridge, consisting of a replacement tooth held in place by crowns on the teeth on either side of the gap. It is used when you have healthy natural teeth on both sides of the space.

Cantilever Bridge

  • Similar to a traditional bridge, but it is secured to a crown on only one side. This type is used when there are natural teeth on just one side of the gap. Due to their design, cantilever bridges are not as strong as traditional bridges

Maryland Bridge

  • A Maryland bridge uses a replacement tooth with metal wings that are bonded to the back of the neighboring teeth. It is typically used for front teeth, as it isn't strong enough for the chewing forces of back molars.

Implant-Supported Bridge

  • This bridge is supported by dental implants rather than natural teeth. It is an ideal option for replacing three or more missing teeth in a row, providing a very strong and stable solution.
FAQs

Common Dental Questions

It's normal for a dental bridge to feel a bit strange at first. Your mouth and gums need time to adjust to the new restoration. While most people get used to it quickly, it can take a few weeks or even months for the bridge to feel completely natural.

A dental bridge most often replaces one to three teeth in a row. In some cases, a bridge can be made to replace up to four teeth, but these longer bridges require more support from the surrounding teeth. Your dentist at Saphire Dent will determine if a bridge is the right option for you based on your specific needs.

A dental bridge should not move. It is securely bonded in place. If you notice your bridge feels loose, it is important to see your dentist right away for an evaluation.

Dental bridges are typically not recommended for people younger than 17 or 18, as their jaws are still growing. However, there can be exceptions, especially for temporary solutions.

It may take some time to get used to your new dental bridge, but once you do, it should feel very similar to your natural teeth. At Saphire Dent, we ensure your bridge is a perfect fit so you can eat and speak just as you did before.
